some glacial ice harvested in Glacier Bay that we brought on our boat
I know I’ve been more and more inconsistent with this blog, but I recently moved and now I have about a month of summer left before my semester starts. So I plan on posting a bit more often at least up until then. Hope everyone’s been having a good summer so far!
Finally got to do another shoot today.
This one specifically I’d been planning with my client for over a month, so I was definitely relieved to get it done today. Definitely one of the most creative/artistic shoots I’ve done, and I got to use my new fisheye lens! These turned out great and I’m super happy with them.
I went home this weekend for some much-needed home-cooked meals, real sleep, and time spent with my pup. Here, I’m experimenting with my glass prism and kaleidoscope-orb thing. I really like the last photo but it makes me sad because I don’t see my dog as often since I’m not living at home anymore, and because he’s getting old. (He’s 14!!) So you can imagine the unintentional symbolism as half of his body has ‘disappeared’ into the dying lawn.
i accompanied keila to their first visit to lacma. my favorite japanese exhibit is still there as well as an exhibit with giant glass prisms, similar to my much smaller one that i’ve been using a lot for some crazy light shots lately.
keila and I went on a walk yesterday and it was really nice. I ended up buying 2 sweaters even though it’s spring now. I’ve been having such a crumby spring break but yesterday was just so nice. s/o to keila, you’re great 🙂
Portraits of one of my best friends!!!!
I’m so happy with how these turned out. (((The thing she’s holding is a bassoon, if you didn’t know.))) The other shoot I was gonna do this week got postponed bc reasons, but I’m glad I was able to work on these and get them posted.
My week has been kind of crazy, between getting in a car accident and getting food poisoning, among other things. And it’s only Wednesday! I’m on my spring break though, so I definitely have some much needed time to relax.
After a very strange series of events, I found out that my friends in Leather Tramp (this band that is displayed above the text you are reading) had put me on their guest list for this Sofar Sounds show in Laguna, which is almost too far from us. There was also a band from England who had to buy used gear from Craig’s List to perform with because they weren’t able to fly their gear overseas. They were great too. But LT killed it and we had everyone on their feet by the end of the show.
